Knowing why you matter puts life in perspective

I don't feel that way any more. It took a lot of time, a lot of reading and studying, and a lot of praying, but I finally came to understand that I have a place in the world, and it doesn't have anything to do with how much money I make, how good-looking I am (or am not), or whether I have any kind of talent.

This month I'd like to pass on what I learned to you. And remember, I'm no guru or saint or wise man. I'm just somebody trying to figure things out, like you are.

Since I'm older than most of you reading this, I had the chance to figure them out before you do. I'm passing on my thoughts to mark the trail ahead so you'll know what's coming.

If you're having a bad day or a bad week or even a bad life, here are some reasons why you matter.

Kid of the King

You can see I'm no fashion model,
my duds kind of drag and droop.
Oh I'm not in with the In Crowd,
but I don't give a flying whoop.

I've got something much better,
an unbelievable thing.
I've got privileges others can't touch

How to stop postponing your life

We've all done it. In fact in the last Inspire-O-Gram, I talked about always having something to look forward to as a way to add excitement to your life. But until that happy event arrives, we can't just put our life on hold.

Again, postponing my life was a mistake I made that I don't want you to repeat. I didn't notice that the watch was ticking. It's always ticking, on all of us. We can't afford to waste any of our precious days by postponing our life.
