Fr'ee inspirational Christmas novel
coming your way soon!

September's Inspire-O-Gram is late, but I have a good excuse. Well, I have an excuse, and it's not that my dog ate it.

For the past couple of weeks I've been writing feverishly on a new inspirational novel titled Appalachian Christmas Dream.

It tells the story of a young teacher, Junie Corban, who gets involved in the Moonlight School movement in Kentucky in 1913. Junie's dream is to teach the illiterate mountain people in her area to read and write. This exciting story has suspense, romance, humor, and an uplifting theme that will make you feel good inside this Christmas season.

And guess what? It's going to be FR'EE! Yep, it's my annual Christmas gift to you as loyal visitors to www.inspiration-for-singles.com. More details will be available in the next issue and on the site, in November.

Oh, and if you missed the 2006 and 2007 Christmas novels, they're still available for F'REE download at www.inspiration-for-singles.com/free-stuff.html

Scariness--but not from Halloween

All this turmoil in the financial markets, the U.S. elections, prices, war and terrorism have combined to brew up a stew of scary proportions. If you live outside the United States, maybe your country is in a state of confusion too.

We single folks may be harder hit, because we have only one paycheck coming in, and no spouse to talk all this stuff over with. The news can get to you. I know it's had me on edge.

This month's feature article gives some answers if you're afraid of the future...

Quote-a-matic!

September's quote is from Christian businesswoman Mary C. Crowley. The founder of Home Interiors & Gifts Inc., Mary always put God first in her life, whether it was business decisions or with her family. She had to resign from a high-paying job because her boss started having cocktail parties to promote the business. Shortly after, she started her own company. She was the first woman on the board of directors of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and received two honorary doctorate degrees. Mary died in 1986. Plagued with insomnia, she is remembered for this famous quote:

"Every evening I turn my worries over to God.
He's going to be up all night anyway.”

Mary C. Crowley

This may sound flip, but Mary meant it. God is big enough to handle our problems. We're not. And he's at work on them behind the scenes, 24/7/365. We have a part to play too, but we often forget that God is our loving, heavenly Father, always watching out for us. Remember that when you go to bed tonight.

Love is a Click Away

Who's Watching Out for You?

You can call him a teacher,
and just a good man,
but I know that he's God
and I'm part of his plan.

You may think he was mortal,
as many have said
but I know with assurance
that he rose from the dead.

Who's watching out for you?
Who tells you the way you should go?
Who gives you protection
and a path straight and true?
Oh, who's watching out for you?

When suffering and heartache
come into your home
Do you stare in the darkness
and face them alone?

If your life isn't working
and you stumble and fall,
you can get help from Jesus
if you answer his call.

Who's watching out for you?
With a love that's eternal and strong?
Who offers salvation
and makes all things new?
Oh, who's watching out for you?

Frustrated by the single life?

One of the most popular pages on www.inspiration-for-singles.com is Your life is miserable.

Now I'm sorry that's true, but many singles feel that way. If you do, or even if things are going fairly well but you could use a little help, my ebook, Single & Sure is for you.

What's it about? It's all the best lessons I learned in 40 years of the single life, in an easy-to-read format, so practical that you can start applying them to your life today.

I know, I know, ebooks have a reputation of being more hype than substance, but I live by the Golden Rule. So I put everything into Single & Sure that I wanted to know as a 20-something or 30-something single. And there are even a few tips for older single folks, too.

Not only that, but I broke the ebook rules and am offering it at a sane price: $14.97.

Why not check out the specifics at: Single & Sure?.
